Advice & Expertise

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT

We assist institutions, public and private establishments, and collectors in managing and monitoring their collections by offering a professional perspective based on conservation and restoration.

This assistance may include inventory, assessing the state of conservation, prioritising interventions, and implementing protocols adapted to the nature of the works and their locations.

We also help you exhibit your works by providing advice on handling, hanging and lighting.

Our approach aims to ensure sustainable conservation while facilitating the promotion of collections. We thus offer owners and managers of works a clear and structured view of their collections, facilitating decision-making, intervention planning and the sustainable promotion of the collections.

DIAGNOSTICS AND ANALYSES

We carry out detailed diagnostics to identify alterations, causes of deterioration and potential risks to the works, as well as an in-depth analysis of its state of conservation and material history.

These analyses provide an essential basis for decision-making : they enable us to define appropriate conservation or restoration strategies, prioritise tasks, and anticipate changes in the condition of the works.

Diagnostics can also be used as a basis for drawing up accurate estimates for potential future restoration work, without needing to commit to the full restoration.

In the art market, we intervene before the purchase or sale of a work to provide a professional opinion on its state of conservation, the material issues it presents and any short- or long-term implications.

Finally, we carry out preliminary studies of historic interiors and their décor, enabling us to assess their general condition, identify specific issues, and guide future decisions.

PREVENTIVE CONSERVATION

Preventive conservation aims to prevent, avoid or minimise damage and contamination by acting on the environment surrounding the works without directly interfering with their physical structure.

We advise on optimal conservation conditions : climate, lighting, handling, storage and transport of works.

Personalised recommendations are made in order to reduce risks, anticipate problems and ensure the longevity of the works and collections.

We also provide practical preventive conservation services — installation of suitable hanging systems, improvement of climate conditions, advice on transport and storage — aimed at preserving works in the long term and avoiding the need for restoration.

EXHIBITION SUPPORT

We support exhibition projects at every stage : from assessing the condition of the works, to recommendations for presentation, hanging, climate control, packaging, transport and installation.

Our goal is to guarantee the safety, monitoring and conservation of the works while respecting the scenographic and curatorial requirements specific to each project.

We work closely with curators, technical teams and institutions to ensure that the exhibition runs smoothly and efficiently.
