GILDING
Our studio applies various traditional gilding techniques to frames as well as other objects, decorative elements and architectural features.
We are particularly skilled in tempera gilding, oil or acrylic mixtion gilding, as well as burnishing, matting and patina techniques.
Depending on the condition and requirements of the project, gilding can be preserved, restored, completed or recreated, with a view to maintaining the aesthetic balance and historical integrity of the object or decorative ensemble.
DECORATIVE PAINTING
Our studio creates and restores painted decorations using traditional techniques such as oil painting, tempera, lime, glazing and other historical decorative processes.
These decorative painting techniques are based on the teachings of the Van der Kelen – Logelain Institute, renowned for its excellence in passing on traditional decorative techniques, such as imitations of wood, marble and other materials.
These projects involve both the restoration of old decorations and contemporary creations inspired by historical techniques.
Each project is designed and planned with the specific location and use in mind, taking into account technical, aesthetic and heritage constraints. This is to ensure harmonious and sustainable integration
